Announcing plans for National Demonstration on 11 October, campaigners say water is a human right and charges must be reversed

A press conference held today (Thursday 2 October) by the Right2Water citizens’ campaign heard details of a national demonstration planned for Saturday October 11th.

Water charges - helping the wealthy become wealthier

From January 2015, every single household in the country will be expected to pay water charges. The Government indicates that this will raise more than €350 million for the full year.
